Performance & Handling
The 2002 Suzuki Esteem is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine generating 122 horsepower. It is teamed with the standard five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission. The automatic is standard on the GLX Plus sedan. Relatively powerful, the engine cranks out competitive numbers for cars in this class with 117 lb-ft of torque at 3500 rpm.
The 2002 Suzuki Esteem is outfitted with child seat anchors, ventilated front disc and rear drum brakes with electronic brake force distribution, rear door child safety locks, and daytime running lights. The GLX Plus sedan has anti-lock brakes.
