While Suzuki has long been known for its high-quality motorcycles, the quality of its cars is often hit or miss. When it comes to the 2007 Suzuki SX4 in its debut model year, the quality is spot on. This small, compact four-door hatchback was impressive from the beginning. Suzuki pulled out all the stops when it designed the SX4 to replace the Aerio SX hatchback model. For such a small car, the powertrain is impressive with a powerful four-cylinder engine capable of 143 hp and 136 lb-ft of torque. While not ideal, the fuel economy could be worse at 21/28 mpg city/highway. The engine, transmission, suspension, and the large 16-inch tires work together to create a smooth, comfortable ride consumers wouldn’t expect from this car class or price tag.
Inside the cabin, Suzuki offers a simple design with quality materials and comfortable seats. Additionally, the SX4 has plenty of features as well. Overall, the 2007 Suzuki SX4 is an excellent choice for someone looking for an affordable car with plenty of options.

The exterior of the 2007 Suzuki SX4 is designed to fit as much style and good looks into a small package as possible. While not large or likely to get a lot of attention, there is nothing wrong with the body design of the SX4. This little hatchback is curvy with some sleek modern lines. Suzuki also offers this edition in a wide variety of color choices. The bumpers are painted to match the rest of the car, giving the model an elegant and upscale look. The grille is modern and assertive with the Suzuki logo on the front.
The base model offers 16-inch wheels and keyless entry. The Sport trim level adds heated outside mirrors.
Despite its low price tag, there is nothing in the cabin of the 2007 Suzuki SX4 cabin to say cheap or low quality. The company did a wonderful job designing and choosing high-quality materials to put in the cabin. For such a small car, Suzuki did the right thing and kept the design simple. The analog gauges are easy to see. The climate controls of the car are three dial knobs for convenience located just below the audio system controls. The backseat offers a 40/60 split. When the seat is folded down, the SX4 offers a total of 38 cubic feet of cargo space.

Performance & Handling
Driving the 2007 Suzuki SX4 is a pleasant experience to say the least. Since the car’s frame is a bit heavier than the competition’s, the powerful four-cylinder engine does little to improve acceleration over the others, but it does help to offer an incredibly smooth ride. Thanks to a good suspension system and extra weight, along with 16-inch tires, the SX4 does an admirable job of keeping driver and passengers comfortable. The standard anti-lock disc brakes don’t seem to mind the extra weight and are one of the features that make this car such a good time to drive.
Suzuki offers many standard safety features for the 2007 SX4. This car is equipped with front seat side airbags, as well as side curtain airbags for the rest of the passengers. It is also equipped with a tire pressure monitor and anti-lock disc brakes. On the Sport trim level. Suzuki offers stability control as a standard feature.
