I have owned my 2012 Toyota Corolla ever since the very end of 2011, when the model rolled onto the dealer's lot. I bought it because our family is on a budget, and I heard that this newest model has a higher MPG. I suppose that it does save on gas mileage - but is that enough to make up for my overall dissatisfaction with the vehicle? Pros: Higher gas mileage - I believe that mine gets around 35 miles to the gallon, the last I checked. It also had an attractive price. With a trade in and before taxes, I paid a little more than $13,500. Cons: Everything else. It lacks power, and has an unrefined interior. I'm not looking to buy a Cadillac here - but I certainly didn't expect such a boring "cookie cutter" car, inside and out. The design lacks any originality, and after only a few months with my new car, I'm already bored with looking at it. The inside feels extremely cheap and boring, with the standard faux leather seats. I wasn't expecting to buy a race car, but the power feels low as well. It takes an extremely long time to reach an appropriate speed, which can be dangerous when I'm on the highway and other cars are passing at 80 miles an hour.
