Comments:

I love love love my 2011 Toyota Highlander! To start off the car looks fantastic. It has great lines and a sleek look while still keeping the feel of an SUV. The ride is so smooth and effortless it is like I am driving a small car. For a V6 engine I feel like there is a lot of power coming from the front. It ran a lot better than many of the similar SUVs that I test drove. The Highlander is a champ in bad weather, I feel very in control even on the slickest of days out here in Colorado. I also get outstanding gas mileage for an SUV of this size; I usually average around 24mpg with a mix of city and highway driving. The dash and all of the controls are very nicely placed and designed. I had no problem figuring out all of the options within the first hour of owning the car. It also has ample room for my dogs or a shopping trip at Costco. I feel very safe in the Highlander, I mean there is seven airbags in it! I am just very comfortable when I am behind the wheel of this car. On the negative side I would have to say that this may not be the best SUV for off-roading types. I believe it was designed for people like me who take the occasional camping trip but not to very remote places. The Highlander was also a little bit more expensive than some of the other mid-sized SUVs I looked at but will probably make up for it in reliability in the long run.
