We had originally purchased our 2011 Toyota Matrix to take advantage of the gas mileage offered by a smaller car. It was intended to supplement the family SUV. Overall we do like our Toyota but we were a little disappointed with the gas mileage, as it does not quite deliver the mileage as advertise by Toyota. With that said it still far outperforms our family SUV in terms of gas mileage. We had considered the Kia Soul as an option but found the Matrix to be a more attractive looking car overall. This is a car that gets the job done, and gets you where you are going safely, however the comfort level is not what we would have expected. I am rather tall as is my wife, and we both find it a little difficult at times to squeeze into the Matrix. The hatchback is a really nice feature that makes loading groceries a breeze. The keyless entry is a really nice feature that we would recommend. We have never used keyless entry before, and have found it to be very convenient. The all wheel drive is another nice feature that makes icy hills much more manageable. We found the 5-speed automatic to be smooth and efficient. The road noise is not too noticeable and the 2011 Toyota Matrix drives down the road very smoothly giving a pleasing ride every time. In spite of the comfort level disappointments and the lackluster gas mileage, this is a fun little car that gets you where you are going. We expected more, but nonetheless we are happy with our Toyota Matrix.
