No, I would not recommend this
- Handles Well
- Great Gas Mileage
- Too many repairs
Well I'm a little conflicted about my RAV-4. Considering I've only owned it for a couple years, I've had to take it in for repairs far too often. Each time it was covered under my warranty, but it does make me nervous. Once I'm outside the warranty period, I wonder how many problems I'll have. My first problem with the SUV was the brakes seemed to wear out after a crazy short period of time. I was told it was something wrong with the calipers and they fixed the issue. After that the car was having strange electrical problems. Again, I took it into the dealership and the fixed the problem but the amount of time my new car has been in the shop is not acceptable. When it's not in the shop I do have lots of nice things to say about it. For its class, it has really great gas mileage and cargo room. I really enjoy driving it as it has a really nice feel to it. I know Toyota has had its reliability problems in the past few years but I was hoping those were just isolated incidents. Unfortunately, based on my experiences, I don't think it was. I wish I had a better experience with it. Maybe I just got a bad car; but, I figure you should all know my experience with it and make your purchase decisions accordingly.
