I've wanted one of these for sometime, but wife thought they were these little tiny things. We went to this from a 2008 Civic Hybrid. True overall mpg was 37, far from the 50 MPG (highway) that was stated on the window sticker. I'll take the -10 mpg hit to my wallet for the better ride with better quality.

Comments:

The Toyota RAV4 is so spacious and easy to drive. It is a great choice for small/mid sized SUV's. We love the huge cargo area provided in the back. The v6 engine makes you feel a bit more powerful but it still gets great highway miles at 28mpg. There is an mp3 player which is something many people can enjoy in today's digital age. You have the option for a third row of seats which comes in handy if you've got a few extra kids to haul around to soccer practice, or you can leave it out and save room for groceries, a pet, or just storage of some kind. With the low price tag I would highly recommend this car to someone looking for a nice SUV that still gets decent miles on the road. The inside is neither luxurious or simple, it feels comfortable, and just right for a family!
