The Cadillac STS-V is the performance edition of the STS model. The four-door, four-passenger luxury sport sedan has been on the market since 2006. Distinguishing the STS-V from the STS are larger 18-inch front wheels and 19-inch back wheels; Brembo brakes that are complemented with additional brake ducts; a larger front grille for improved airflow, and improvements to the vehicle's style and aerodynamics. The 2008 STS-V is fitted with a 4.4L V8 engine providing 469 horsepower with 439 lb-ft torque matched with six-speed automatic transmission. Safety features on the STS-V include blind spot alert; lane departure warning; rear obstacle detection; front and side airbags, and automated Intellibeam headlamps. The StabiliTrak stability control system is optional.
