The Pacifica is a mid-sized crossover SUV made by Chrysler. This SUV is created on its own platform and doesn't share it with any of the minivans made by Chrysler as is often interpreted by its style. The Pacifica is an all wheel drive vehicle that has an upscale interior and passenger flexibility. This is Chrysler's first SUV and is labeled by the company as a sports tourer. The Pacifica's exterior was redesigned for the 2007 model year, which is primarily visible in the headlights. The fenders, grille, hood, front and the 17 inch wheels were also redesigned, along with a few other options. The Pacifica won the 2006 award for best pick frontal from the Insurance Institute for Highway safety and the 2007 model earned a five star crash test rating. The Pacifica comes with a standard Autostick transaxle that allows the driver to switch from automatic to manual while driving and also carries a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds with the appropriate hitch.
