The 2007 GMC Canyon edition comes with a new generation of engines and three new color choices. The GMC Canyon is a mid-sized pickup truck that was brought out in 2004. The Canyon comes with either manual or automatic transmissions. The standard model comes with two doors and the extended version comes with four doors. The 2007 engines for this mid-sized truck range from 185 hp and 242 hp. The extended version would be a good fit for a small contractor that needed to bring a small crew to the job. The Canyon has done well in competition against the Ford Ranger and has had less success against the Toyota Tacoma. Like many new models the GMC Canyon is equipped with an event recorder. The GMC Canyon is nicely designed and provides competition for the mid-sized truck market. This is a niche market and the popularity from year to year is inconsistent to say the least.
