Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • Safe And Reliable
  • Lots of Features
  • Comfortable

  • Lacks Power

If you are looking for dependable, stylish, and economic plus the ability to outrun Elmer Fudd you need to check out this 2009 Volkswagen Rabbit. The feature of this car that you have to see it to believe is its deceptively large interior. Having been in and owned several cars in this class I would have to say I am the happiest with Rabbit's interior. Being a bigger guy it easy to feel crowded in a smaller car, but felt very comfortable in this VW. Another thing that attracted me to this car is the safety and reliability. As normal you get top rated safety features at an affordable price and it measures up featuring traction & stability control, the full suite of airbags, whiplash protection system, daytime running lights (review the statistics on fewer accidents, you will be surprised!), post-collision safety system, plus many more? My chief issue with the car is it does lack power. I really think the goodies and the gas mileage are a fair trade for the power, but sometimes you crave that power and instead of a bear you do have a rabbit. Another great offset from the power is the car is incredibly quiet. It is great to be cruising and not have to turn up the volume to compensate for car noise or if you like to ride in silence it does lend to a peaceful trip. In addition to the generous cabin size, the car has very comfortable seats, which tend to be left out in small class sizes, but with the Rabbit they really got it right. The stereo is awesome and with 10 speakers, CD, & MP3 input jack your music will never sound so good.
