The 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan is VW's latest SUV, now in a compact package.
For 2008 the Touareg gets the number 2, denoting the vehicles second generation. Visual queues such as a new stylized chrome front grill, a redesigned front bumper, new side mirrors, and new organically shaped headlamp housings with polycarbonate lens covers differentiate the second generation, which is really more of a mid-cycle update than a full blown refreshing.
Part Tiger and part Iguana the 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan is here and it intends to stay that way for quite some time. The aggressive looks and good fuel economy mean it should find a lot of buyers looking to downsize from their full size SUVs but don't quite like the idea of squeezing into a compact sedan just yet!
The 2007 Volkswagen Touareg is the product of a joint platform development between Porsche and VW which was later shared with Audi for their Q7 SUV.
