No, I would not recommend this
- Smooth Ride
- Lots of Features
- Lacks Power
- Poor Gas Mileage
The Volvo XC60 does not meet most consumer's mileage goals, getting a meager 18 in the city and 27 on the highway. The price is also high at $22K. The gas pedal is very sensitive as simply tapping it makes the RPMs shoot up. Has been known to have many electrical problems as well. On the positive side, the interior of the vehicle is very comfortable and spacious. This is the kind of vehicle you would get when you're first starting out with a family; can hold up to 5 people with a lot of room left to spare. It also has a lot of safety features, it has a very sturdy frame and can hold it's own in the event of a crash. It contains rollover-sensing control and anti lock brakes, front and side airbags and whiplash reducing front seats. Also has City safety which reduces your speed without the driver's consent. The XC60 has a driver alert system which contains a lane departure warning, a heartbeat monitor in the event of an intruder and collision warning and braking system. Overall it is a very comfortable yet costly drive. Great vehicle for someone looking for a luxury crossover, with a small family looking for safe drive to boot. I would not recommend this vehicle for a friend. It may have excellent safety features but the overall MPG is severely lacking. I live in a large city so I would have to stop and fill up my tank quite frequently. I also don't have a family so I don't need the extra room and comfort.
